The hotel itself, is an 18th Century Victorian Building. In 2001, the owners decided to venture into the leisure and tourism market after an extensive refurbishment program undertaken by designer Laura.

This 18th-century Victorian building has a superb central location in London's Notting Hill neighborhood. The famous Portobello Road and market are around a 15 minute walk away.
Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus and High Street Kensington are a 10 minute drive from Blue Bells Hotel. Hyde Park and Holland Park are just over a 10 minute walk from the building.
